John Cleese was a writer and performer on their late 60s/early 70s BBC sketch comedy show Monty Python's Flying Circus and starred in all three of the Monty Python films (Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Monty Python's Life of Brian and Monty Python's The Meaning of Life). He's also starred in the British sitcom Fawlty Towers and the film A Fish Called Wanda and has done numerous TV, film, stage and radio work as well. In fact, it's somewhat shocking something this busy has time for Twitter. But never look a gift comedian in the mouth!
